    Tech. Sgt. Tedd Baker, a tenor saxophonist with the Airmen of Note, the United States Air Force Band, solos during a performance for Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB) Commander Capt. Frank Mays. Originally from Marshfield, Mass., Baker's career in the Air Force began in 2002. Baker began playing professionally in Boston as a teenager. He then attended New England Conservatory on a scholarship earning a bachelor's degree. After a tour through the Middle East with a jazz trio, he moved to Queens, N.Y., to attend the Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College, where he earned his master's degree in 2001. Tech. Sgt. Paige Martin, a vocalist with the group, looks on.
