Utah National Guard 85th WMD Civil Support Team participates in a training scenario Nov. 4, 2014, at U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground during Vigilant Guard regional earthquake response exercise. This scenario was that, during a massive, statewide earthquake, a container of VX "nerve gas" was spilled inside a Dugway lab. The 85th WMD CST responded to assess the extent and danger of the spill. THIS PHOTO: A CST member, using a Joint Chemical Agent Detector (JCAD), checks a door for leaks of chemical agent during the exercise. The JCAD is issued to all services, hence the "joint" in its name. The JCAD was tested at Dugway Proving Ground for many years before its acceptance and issue to Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard.
