Utah National Guard 85th WMD Civil Support Team participates in a training scenario Nov. 4, 2014, at U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground during Vigilant Guard regional earthquake response exercise. This scenario was that, during a massive, statewide earthquake, a container of VX "nerve gas" was spilled inside a Dugway lab. The 85th WMD CST responded to assess the extent and danger of the spill. In this scenario VX "nerve gas" was simulated by a puddle of water, seen in this small chamber called a hood. CST members had to sample it, just as they would in a real incident.
