Gunnery Sgt. Kristopher P. Moore, a drill instructor at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina, gives direct instruction about how to properly conduct the initial strength test to female poolees at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, Oct. 31, 2014. The young women undergoing training had the rare chance to see firsthand a drill instructor outside of recruit training. The Command of Recruiting Station Jacksonville gathered the female poolees from its recruiting sub-stations, in order to prepare them for future endeavors as they take on the challenge of becoming Marines. The command also had the opportunity to further evaluate the female poolees for potential assignment in previously closed combat arms Military Occupational Specialties.
