Brig. Gen. John F. King, Georgia National Guard director of the Joint Staff, presented Iraq and Afghanistan military honorees to the gathering at the Atlanta History Center’s Veterans Park, Tuesday. King reminded the crowd that, although the event honored Global War on Terror combat veterans, each should meet and listen to those veterans of prior campaigns and explore the AHC's Oral History Project of audio recordings. "These are invaluable memories that will live here and provide an extended reminder for future generations," King said.
