    Task Force Sinai

U.S. Army Sgt. Drake Myers, an Explosive Ordnance Explosives team leader, talks to Vice Admiral Mark Fox, Deputy Commander for U.S. Central Command, Army, Nov. 13, about the capabilities of his team during a visit to the Multinational Force and Observer’s North Camp in Sinai, Egypt. During his visit to the Sinai, Fox met with U.S. Soldiers assigned to Task Force Sinai as well as multinational Soldiers from various countries. During a static display, the EOD team showed off their advanced explosive detection equipment and explained how they support the MFO’s peacekeeping mission. Here, in the MFO, the EOD team is responsible for many different tasks from finding to destroying unexploded ordnances. They, like the 13 other contingents that make up the MFO, also take on a number of other missions. The MFO is one of the longest running peacekeeping missions in history. Its primary mission is to observe, verify and report compliance of the peace treaty signed between Egypt and Israel 32 years ago. (U.S. Army Photos By: Sgt.
