Seaman Kathleen O'Keefe hands flowers to Katherine McRill, widow of Petty Officer 1st Class Bobby McRill, during a graduation ceremony at Defense Information School at Ft. George G. Meade. O'Keefe is the first Defense Information School graduate to receive the Bobby McRill Award for outstanding performance at Defense Information School. McRill was killed in combat in Iraq in 2007 and the McRill Award has been created in his honor to be presented to the Mass Communication Specialist who best displays the Navy's core values of honor, courage and commitment.
