Christopher Gilpin, senior enlisted leader of the 3rd ID, respectively, from left to right, hold the Marne Week trophy during the Marne Week closing ceremony held on Cottrell Field, Nov. 20. This ceremony marked a close to a four-day event called Marne Week, where all but the most essential work stopped, and the subordinate units of the 3rd ID come together to compete in many different events. At the end of the four days, earned points are added up, and a winner is announced. Amazingly the 2nd ABCT won, even though they are severely under staffed due to their imminent inactivation.
