During a change of command ceremony, Lt. Col. John C. Osborne relinquished his command of 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion to Lt. Col. Gary A. McCullar by passing on the battalions colors, Dec. 12, 2014. While under Osborne’s command for more than two years the battalion took part in two deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as well as maintaining an above average state of preparedness during the Commanding General’s Readiness Inspection.
