U.S. Army Maj. Dave King, State Partnership Program Director for the S.C. Army National Guard looks through a homecoming parade program from Operation Just Cause, Dec. 18, 2014, Columbia, S.C. King was a junior officer serving in the 4-6th Infantry battalion, 5th Infantry Division (Mechanized) in Fort Polk, Louisiana when his unit was deployed to Operation Just Cause in Panama in December of 1989. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the invasion of Panama, when President George H.W. Bush ordered combat operations to begin Dec. 20, 1989 to remove Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega.
