Grier is assigned to the 60th Aerial Port Squadron, and Wilson is with the 55th APS. Travis is the leading aerial port for destinations throughout the Pacific. From as far north as Alaska to as far south as the South Pole and to the Far East and beyond, travelers, cargo and support, most often get there from here. A ramp team worked quickly to fill the 42 pallet positions in the contract air cargo jet from Evergreen's green and white 747 Freighter on April 18 at Travis Air Force Base, Calif. the cargo is destined for countries in the Pacific. The 11-person team including three drivers in 60k Tunner loaders who safely loaded 99,585 pounds of cargo in 90 minutes. The air crew was able to stay onboard the entire time and departed for its Pacific destinations: Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii; Andersen Air Force Base, Guam; Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea; and Yokota Air Base, Japan.
