An Iraqi special operations forces soldier provides security for his fellow soldiers during close-quarter combat training, April 19, in Al Anbar, Iraq. The soldiers spent the day storming into rooms and enhancing their ability to capture suspects indoors. These drills are meant to keep the soldier's skills sharp and ready for action any time. Because not all the soldiers come from combat jobs, the training also teaches the newcomers the basics. "We have fighters and service and support personnel that attend training here," said a lieutenant with the 9th Bn., ISOF. "We want the service and support personnel to reach the same level as fighters in the future." This mentality will create even more qualified experts in the fight against terrorism in Iraq.
