Runners from all around the world descend upon the Magic City in order to compete in the Mercedes-Benz Marathon Feb. 22 in Birmingham, Ala. The Mercedes is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. It takes hundreds of volunteers to make the event a success, like this one providing water.
