Staff Sgt. Robert Warmack, an infantryman assigned to Company A, 252nd Combined Arms Battalion, 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team, hands out candy to an Iraqi child in the Doura neighborhood, here, June 12. Warmack, who is a volunteer firefighter back in home in Cove City, N.C., said his job on patrol is to constantly scan the area for any suspicious activity. He said his goal is for all his fellow North Carolina National Guard Soldiers to make it home safely. “I like to tell everybody, the idea is to bring everybody home safe without firing a single shot,†Warmack said. “Our job as infantrymen puts us in harm's way and that's our choice, but the goal is to bring everybody home safe.â€
