Iraqi children watch as Soldiers of the North Carolina National Guard's “Old Hickory” Brigade pull security duty in the Doura neighborhood, here, June 12. The Soldiers of Company A, 252nd Combined Arms Battalion, 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team, are responsible for security in the area. “I'm as alert as possible. I've got myself to worry about and all these guys, so when I'm outside the wire, I try to do my job as best as I can,” said Sgt. Gabriel Herrold, an infantryman from Jackson, N.C.
