Staff Sgt. Robert Warmack of Cove City, N.C., an infantryman assigned to Company A, 252nd Combined Arms Battalion, 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team, hands out candy to Iraqi children while on patrol in the neighborhood, here, June 12. Warmack is serving his second tour of duty in Iraq with the North Carolina National Guard's “Old Hickory” Brigade. Warmack said he has a big responsibility to keep his Soldiers and the Iraqi children safe while out on patrol. “Having kids of my own, I am prone to make sure their safety is taken care of along with my men,” Warmack said.
