Maj. Jim Cudney, executive officer for the 2nd Battalion, 300th Field Artillery, receives the Meritorious Service Medal, for conducting successful and intricate predeployment training while orchestrating the net fielding of all new weapons and support equipment for the battalion. He received the award on June 21. The 2-300th, a Wyoming Army National Guard unit, is set to deploy with the 115th Fires Brigade to Iraq and Kuwait.
