Brian Nesvik, 2-300th commander, left, after Nesvik awarded him the Meritorious Service Medal, for conducting successful and intricate predeployment training while orchestrating the net fielding of all new weapons and support equipment for the battalion. Cudney received the award on June 21. The 2-300th, a Wyoming Army National Guard unit, is set to deploy with the 115th Fires Brigade to Iraq and Kuwait.
