The official party for the dedication ceremony at the Souvenir Monument in Ste. Mere Eglise, France, June 7, to honor more than 3,000 Soldiers who died during the early days and months of fighting to liberate France and Europe, render hand salutes during the playing of the French and American national anthems. They are at Ste. Mere Eglise to honor the men who parachuted into France 65 years ago, many paying the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of others.
