Monsignor Stanilas Lalanne of Coutances, France, addresses a large audience during an open air Catholic Mass held in front of the church in Ste Mere Eglise, June 7, to commemorate the D-Day Invasion 65 years earlier. Lalanne called for peace throughout the world and an end to all wars. He thanked the brave young men who were willing to sacrifice their lives so others could live free.
