At the Hohenfels Training Area, media awareness training is being conducted by Mark Van Treuren, a Raytheon contractor and seasoned Army Public Affairs practitioner, to a class full of Romanian Soldiers, Monday, April 6, 2015 as part of exercise Saber Junction's specialty training taught at the beginning of each major training rotation. Specialty training is a set of courses that are offered the rotational training units ranging from operational environment overviews to vehicle recovery procedures. U.S. Army Europe’s Saber Junction 15 takes place April 1-30, 2015 in Germany, Romania and Lithuania and prepares U.S., NATO allies, and European security partners to conduct unified land operations through the simultaneous combination of offensive, defensive and stability operations appropriate to the mission and the environment.
