Lt. Gen. John E. Wissler gets pinned as an “honorary chief petty officer” by Command Master Chief Eric S. Anderson March 31 at the III Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters building on Camp Courtney. Anderson used his personal insignia he received when he was promoted to chief petty officer. “Wissler is receiving this for his unconditional support of the Marines and Sailors of III MEF and the Chief Petty Officer's (CPO) Mess,” said Anderson. “He has understood the uniqueness of the CPO Mess and has supported his CPO Mess not only within III MEF, but island-wide.” Anderson is the command master chief for III MEF.
