Friends and family fill the pews of the Protestant Chapel for a memorial service in honor of Lance Cpl. Jacob Matthews who was a rifleman with 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, and Chester, Md., native, aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 24, 2015. Matthews died due to injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident in the city of Jacksonville, N.C., April 10, 2015. “He served and he lived every day with a happy heart, a hundred percent of the time,” said 1st Lt.
