A team of cavalry scouts from the 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division complete a 10-question exam designed to test their observation and memory skills after having completed the recon run portion of the Gainey Cup May 5 at Fort Benning, Georgia. The 3-8 Cav represented the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division because the battalion is currently on a rotational deployment to South Korea for nine months. Since they’ve been in Korea, these six troopers competed in a division level competition and won the opportunity to represent 2nd ID at the Gainey Cup.
