Sailors aboard the Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate USS Thach watch as the Cyclone-class coastal patrol ship USS Typhoon pulls alongside for a fueling at sea. This event marks the first time Thach has performed a FAS with a coastal patrol ship. Thach and the Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group 7 are currently on a routine deployment in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility focusing on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
