Lance Cpl. Tye Ross, Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific-Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Japan, works with a fellow Marine while transferring food from the pot to serving pans so they can be placed on the serving line, June 9 at the Camp Foster Mess Hall, Okinawa, Japan. During each meal rush, it is the Marine’s responsibility to ensure that every empty tray that comes into the kitchen is replaced by a full tray on the serving line. According to Ross, it is important that the Marines work together to ensure that the mess hall operates at full capacity.
