Marines enjoy a meal during their lunch break, June 9 at the Camp Foster Mess Hall, Okinawa, Japan. Despite the grueling hours and fast-paced work, mess hall Marines enjoy what they do, according to Cpl. Jaime Sotelo, training noncommissioned officer at the Camp Foster Mess Hall. To them, it is gratifying work to see the food they have prepared being enjoyed by fellow service members. “I take a lot of pride in each meal I make,” said Cpl. Jaime Sotelo, the training non-commissioned officer at the Camp Foster Mess Hall. “It’s the best feeling in the world when I step into the dining area and see everyone enjoying something I made. Every time they take a bite of (the) food, it’s their way of saying thank you.”
