Marines make their way through the serving line, June 9 at the Camp Foster Mess Hall, Okinawa, Japan. The food-service specialists ensure that more than 1,200 service members receive nutritious, enjoyable meals on a daily basis. “If a Marine wants to see how much of an impact (they) have, all (they) have to do is step out into the dining room,” said Gunnery Sgt. Diordane Pierre-Louis, the food service manager for the Camp Foster Mess Hall. “Marines need to eat, (therefore) food-service specialists have one of the most important jobs on base.”
