Sailors aboard the Arleigh Burke-class Destroyer USS Gridley (DDG 101) man a phone and distance line station during a fueling at sea with the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Ronald Reagan provided over 5,000 gallons of fuel to Gridley during the two hour evolution. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility. Operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
