U.S. Marines with 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, fire M136 AT4 anti-tank weapons at a target June 26 during an air assault course at Bradshaw Training Area, Northern Territory, Australia. The AAC combined light infantry, indirect fire weapons systems and air assets to capture and fight through a mock enemy force. The concept of a rotational Marine Air-Ground Task Force is a cost-effective way to expose U.S.-based Marine units to various training environments while maintaining military partnerships with the Australian Defence Force and regional partners throughout Southeast Asia.
