A U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 463, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, carries Marines to the landing zone during an air assault course June 26 at Bradshaw Field Training Area, Northern Territory, Australia. The AAC combined light infantry, indirect fire weapons systems and air assets to capture and fight through a mock enemy force. The MRF-D deployment enables Marines to more effectively train, exercise, and operate with their Australian partners, enhances regional security and builds the capacity to respond more rapidly to natural disasters and crises throughout the region.
