Students of Mihail Kogalniceanu Middle School wait anxiously for the first day of school to start, Sept. 14. The day began with a ceremony to honor U.S. Navy Seabees of the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 11, stationed in Gulfport, Miss., and NMCB 3 assigned to Port Hueneme, Calif., who built the new exterior fence surrounding the school's playground. It took six U.S. Navy Seabees approximately two months to complete the project at about 2,000 personnel hours and cost approximately $36,000.
