U.S. Army Civil Affairs & Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) soldiers salute during a rehearsal for the USACAPOC(A) change of command ceremony, Sept. 20. USACAPOC (A)'s nearly 10,000 Soldiers account for about 94% of the United States' civil affairs forces and 71 percent of the United States' psychological operations forces. Army Reserve civil affairs and PSYOP forces make up less than five percent of the Army Reserve force, but account for 20 percent of Army Reserve deployments. Civil affairs and PSYOP citizen-soldiers can be found serving in about 70 Army Reserve units across 30 states and Puerto Rico.
