On Thursday, July 16, 2015 the Center for Strategic & International Studies hosted a multi-panel discussion on the value the U.S. Army Reserve brings to the nation. The half-day event opened with keynote speaker Congressman Joseph Heck, who currently serves as Chairman of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel.
From right to left: The second panel focused on the U.S. Army Reserve at home and abroad and was moderated by Ms. Stephanie Kostro, a Senior Fellow with CSIS International Security Program. Panel members included Lt. Gen. Patrick Donahue II, Deputy Commanding General for U.S. Army Forces Command; Maj. Gen. David Conboy, Deputy Commanding General (Operations) for U.S. Army Reserve Command; and Mr. Robert G. Salesses, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense Integration and Defense Support for Civil Authorities.
