Lance Cpl. William Hickman, an accident investigator with the Provost Marshal’s Office, sights down his M1014 shotgun during a practice shoot for the practical weapons course, July 22, 2015, at Kaneohe Bay Range Training Facility. During the practice, shooters fired from the standing, kneeling and hip-fire position with the shotgun. The 140-acre range provides facilities for small arms marksmanship training, qualification, and requalification. In addition to Marine Corps Base Hawaii Marines, the range is used by members of the Department of Defense, local law enforcement, and federal organizations. The mission of MCB Hawaii is to provide facilities, programs and services in direct support of units, individuals and families to enhance and sustain combat readiness for all operating forces and tenant organizations aboard the installation.
