ARABIAN GULF (Aug. 11, 2015) Cpl. Stephen Hill, from the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), prepares cargo hooks on the flight deck of Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) during a vertical replenishment with the Military Sealift Command underway replenishment oiler USNS Patuxent (T-AOE 201). Rushmore is part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
