On 11 May 2006, a bell used to alert Casualty Evacuation(CasEvac's) for Third Marine Aircraft Wing Foward (3D MAW( FWD)), Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 268 (HMM-268) on Al Taqaddum, Iraq. HMM-268 is currently deployed with I MEF (FWD) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq (MNF-W) to develop the Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic government reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
