On 13May 2006, two CH-46 Sea Knight of Third Marine Aircraft Wing Foward (3D MAW( FWD)), Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 268 (HMM-268) prepares to launch for a Casualty Evacuation(CasEvac) mission on Al Taqaddum, Iraq. HMM-268 is currently deployed with I MEF (FWD) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq (MNF-W) to develop the Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic government reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
