Command Sgt. Maj. Michael J. Coffey assumes responsibility of the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, during a ceremony Sept. 3 at Cooper Field. Command Sgt. Maj. Joseph C. Cornelison relinquished responsibility of the brigade to Coffey. Coffey previously served as the senior enlisted leader for the 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment (Air Assault), 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Cornelison, who assumed responsibility of the 1st ABCT, 1st Cavalry Division April 7, 2014, is slated to assume responsibility of the 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas, later this year.
