In the process of operating the T2W Well Drilling Rig, Petty Officer 2nd Class Gregory Moseley, an equipment operator, is covered with drilling mud as the well bore is cleared by the use of compressed air and water. The well drilling mud is Bentonite Clay and is used to lubricate the bore cutting tool as well as help remove the rock cuttings to the surface of the well. The well drilling is taking place in a remote area of Dikhil District, Oct. 24, 2009. Moseley is with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3 from Port Hueneme, Calif., and is currently assigned to Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
