U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class John Garrett, from Paris, Ky., assigned to Outlaw Platoon, Alpha Battery, 2nd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, directs students around their school in Dexebtoth village north of Mosul, Iraq, on Oct. 25. More than 1,000 students received backpacks full of school supplies as part of an education assistance drop.
