German Army Col. Jorn Villman, a national contingent commander for the German forces assigned to Multinational Battle Group-West, gives his remarks during an awards ceremony for U.S. and German Soldiers, assigned to Multinational Battle Groups-East and West, which competed for the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge and U.S. Army Marksmanship Badge Sept. 13, 2015, at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo. The German Soldiers received the badge for qualifying with the U.S. Army standard M9 pistol and the M16A2 rifle. Joint training with other multinational forces while deployed to Kosovo, establishes one of the main lines of effort for strengthening the relationships among the multinational battle groups conducting peacekeeping missions under NATO authority.
