Recruits of Delta Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, listen to instructions during their first uniform fitting at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Oct. 14. To make the all-day process run smoother, the recruits followed precise directions given to them by the workers. Today, all males recruited west of the Mississippi are trained at MCRD San Diego. The depot is responsible for training more than 16,000 recruits annually. Delta Company is scheduled to graduate Nov. 13.
