Col. Matthew Van Wagenen, commander of 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, congratulates the 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment “Warhorse” team with a big thumbs up for earning the Commander’s Cup in the brigade-wide Turkey Bowl Nov. 24. The Turkey Bowl was a brigade-wide competition during which teams from every battalion battled for the Commander’s Cup in a flag football tournament. The last two teams standing were the Warhorse Battalion and the Blacksmith Battalion.
