An Iraqi department of border enforcement fort along the Syrian border is barely visible beneath the setting sun, Dec. 7, 2009. Paratroopers of 1st Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division (Advise and Assist Brigade) recently began partnered training and security operations with Iraqi border security forces along the expansive Iraqi-Syrian border.
