    Cmdr. James Preston the former Commanding Officer, Strike Fighter Squadron 97 pulls out of formation after an airborne change of command with Cmdr. William Shoemaker, Commanding Officer, VFA- 97 over the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz. The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group is on a routine deployment to the region. Operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
