Soldiers from 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division turned in a company-team sized set of Abrams Main Battle Tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles from the European Activity Set at Mumaiciai, Lithuania. In December 2015 U.S. Army Europe and Army Material Command established forward storage sites at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base, Romania; Novo Selo Training Area, Bulgaria; and Mumaiciai, Lithuania. Having U.S. equipment stored forward within Allied and partner nations allows Regionally Allocated Forces easier access to that equipment when and where it is needed, saving time and resources to maximize availability for training.
