Abrams Main Battle Tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles are stored in a warehouse in Mumaiciai, Lithuania as U.S. Army Europe and Army Material Command established a forward storage site for equipment from the European Activity Set Dec. 14, 2015. “Having U.S. equipment stored forward allows us to get in country, rapidly build our combat power and maximize the time we have available to conduct training with our Allies and partners,” said Col. Phil Brooks, the commander for 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division. As the Regionally Allocated Force for Europe, the brigade has been using the EAS equipment for training exercises throughout eastern Europe as a part of Operation Atlantic Resolve.
