151205-N-CJ186-257 NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY BAHRAIN (Dec. 5, 2015) Assistant Scoutmaster Alex Bedoya, with the Boy Scouts of America, meets with Chief Mineman Shane Stone, assigned to the Avenger-class mine countermeasures ship USS Sentry (MCM 3), before a tour of the Sentry. Troops 221 and 826, based out of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain, took part in the tour to earn the Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge, in which they visit two U.S. government facilities to earn the merit. USS Sentry is currently assigned to Commander, Task Group 52.2, which conducts mine countermeasure, explosive ordnance disposal and force protection operations throughout the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
