The Governor of Wasit Province and the Chairman of the Wasit Provincial council tour a newly opened pump station in Al Hwar, Iraq, Dec. 15. The pump, built with U.S. loans to the government of Iraq, is part of a series of eight stations built to provide improved irrigation for farmers south of the Tigris River.
